Policies & Terms of Service

This following terms apply to all transactions between Solvang and third-parties (Guests)

 

-|- Definition and Interpretations

1.1    In this Agreement except explicitly stated otherwise, the following terms shall have the following meanings;

"Room"    term for any unit of accommodation that is made available by Solvang to a Guest for a time-limited period as specified by the booking reservation.

"Solvang"    business unit including personnel authorised to deliver property management and customer service.

"Property"    land and all buildings, spaces and rooms on the plot (26d Assens), as registered in the national land registry.

"Service Contract"    binding agreement which specifies the terms under which the customer gains temporary use rights over part of Solvang Property. It also describes any services and facilities that are to be made available to the customer in a given period.

"Product"    all services and goods that are offered by Solvang including, but not limited to, Rooms and events.

"Booking Period"    duration of service, from the calendar day delivery is scheduled to begin, to the last day of service delivery, as specified in the Service Contract.

"Force Majeure"    extraordinary events, typically unforeseeable and unavoidable such as natural disasters, war or epidemics which are beyond the control of both parties, and make execution of the Service Contract impossible.

 

-|- Establishing a Service Contract

Solvang offers products for sale through online and physical platforms.

The following terms of service are applicable for all products on all platforms.

Guest reservations on booking platforms are considered a request for provision of service.

Solvang is not obligated to accept any request. There is first established a binding Service Contract when Solvang confirms acceptance of the request and underlying conditions such as duration of stay and payment, and the Guest receives a reservation confirmation.All changes to the terms of service or content shall be made in written form to the other part, and are subject to accept by the other part. One-sided changes by the Guest are not valid, and will not be honoured.In cases of Force Majeure, both parties will immediately be released from all obligations to the other part, and the Service Contract nullified. The Service Contract is also nullified in the case where Solvang ends its business activities and/or ceases to offer the product or service mentioned in the Service Contract.

All product offers from Solvang are subject to change and are non-binding for Solvang until a Service Contract with the Guest has been established.

With reservation of Room products, it is up to the sole discretion of Solvang to assign rooms, within the constraints of the product type and included facilities, as specified in the Service Contract.

The Guest has no special rights to a specific room or to special requests and services outside what is clearly indicated at the time of entering the Service Contract.

 

-|- Commencement and Duration

The terms of delivery for each product are specified at the time of purchase.Rooms are made available to the Guest at the arrival time as specified in the Service Contract on the first day of the booking period. The Guest is not entitled to use of the product before the time specified in the Serivce Contract. The Guest must present valid ID and sign in as directed by Solvang before gaining access to the Property.Rooms and inventary (linen, towels, furniture) are cleaned prior to each Guest’s arrival. Guest must report any Product defects to personnel within 1 hour of checking-in to the Property.

The Product price covers the costs incurred by Solvang for making the Property available for the exclusive use of the Guest within the booking period. As such, no refunds are offered based on the amount of time spent physically on the Property within the Booking Period.

Solvang assumes no responsibility for loss or damage of personal belongings and vehicles on the Property, including by acts of Force Majeure. Exploring the property and nearby area is at own risk, and Guests are encouraged to take relevant safety precautions at all times.

Guests must show consideration to other Guests, and follow the guidelines provided by Solvang.

It is not allowed to smoke (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, waterpipes, all tobacco and tobacco/smoke-replacement products) anywhere on the property. The Guest is liable to pay compensation for property damages, including replacement of damaged linens and furniture, and a cleaning surchage of 1500 DKK. The guest is also liable to pay a fine if the smoke alarms are tampered with in any way, or triggered due to Guest’s actions.

Loud music and partying is not permitted after 21:00, except for specially designated areas.The Service Contract can be terminated if the Guest (and anyone accompanying the Guest) exhibits unruly and/or unsafe behaviour. If the Service Contract is terminated for this reason, the Guest must vacate the Property immediately, and will not be entitled to compensation by Solvang for the loss of the remaining time in the bookable period, or any of the costs related to the product/booking.

All form of subletting or rental of any part of Solvang Property is prohibited.

The number of guests spending the night on the Property must not exceed the number specified in the Service Contract during reservation.

On departure day, which is the last day of the booking period, the Guest must vacate the property and return all keys at the designated area latest by 11:00

Lost or damaged keys will result in a fine of DKK 950, due to be paid by the Guest latest on the last day of the Booking Period.

 

-|- Place of Business

By default all services provided by Solvang shall be carried out on the Property, Møllevej 2 5610 Assens, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product/service offer by Solvang.

 

-|- Prices, Payment and Cancellations

Terms of payment and prices for all products (Rooms and services) are subject to change without further notice, however, the applicable terms at the time of a booking will be binding for that specific booking.Unless otherwise stated, the Guest in entitled to free cancellation provided notice is given more than 7 days before expected arrival.Cancellation within 7 days of arrival will trigger a fee equivalent to half of the booking price.Cancellation and/or rescheduling on the day of expected arrival, triggers a fee equivalent to 100% of the booking reservation price.The Guest will receive an invoice detailing the terms of payment. Interest and late fee charges may be applied if payment is not completed as directed.

 

 

By proceeding with a reservation, the Guest confirms to have understood and accepted the terms above.
